(Temporarily!)
Our hotel will be temporarily closed from 10th March to 18th June (provisionally) for essential repairs and upgrades.
As many of you know, our hotel sustained damage from Storm Darragh in December, leading to a temporary closure while a temporary roof was installed. Unfortunately, this was only a short-term solution until we could schedule a full closure to complete the necessary repairs.
We now need to temporarily shut the hotel once again to carry out these essential works. While closing was not what we had hoped for, it has given us an opportunity to utilise this time by scheduling maintenance work across the hotel.

How does this affect my leisure club membership?
From 10th March to 18th June 2025 (provisionally), all memberships will be frozen and no payments will be taken. To learn more about how this affects your membership type, we’ve put together a list of frequently asked questions to address any queries you may have. How does this affect pre-existing bookings?
If your booking falls within the closure period from 10th March to 18th June 2025 (provisionally), our team will be in contact with you to discuss your booking. If your booking is outside of this period, it will not be affected. Should anything change, we will contact all those impacted. Can I make a booking for when you reopen?
For those of you who would like to make a booking for when we reopen in June, our reservation team will still be available to assist you Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5pm on 01271 376221 or email reservations@barnstaplehotel.co.uk. Alternatively, you can view our latest offers and breaks and make a booking online. We look forward to welcoming you back as we kickstart the summer season!

How does this affect Gift Vouchers?
If you've purchased a gift voucher and are wondering how to redeem it during our temporary closure, we’ve got you covered. Any carvery, cream tea or afternoon tea vouchers can be used at our sister hotels as monetary vouchers for their equivalent value, rather than the specific experience. However, Black Friday gift vouchers can only be redeemed at our hotel. We’re happy to extend the validity of Black Friday vouchers for an additional month from our reopening date. Whilst we’re closed, our sister hotels have you covered when it comes to unforgettable dining experiences. From delicious Sunday carveries to mouthwatering lunches and dinners, you’ll find everything you need. With fresh ingredients and talented chefs, our sister hotels are ready to deliver exceptional meals to satisfy every craving.

Sunday Carvery
During our temporary closure, our sister hotels in Barnstaple will continue to serve their delicious Sunday carveries, ensuring you can still enjoy a traditional roast with all the trimmings. We look forward to welcoming you back soon, but in the meantime, why not visit The Park Hotel or The Royal & Fortescue Hotel for a carvery or The Imperial Hotel for a traditional sitdown Sunday Lunch?
