Shaun the Sheep at RHS Garden Rosemoor

This summer, RHS Garden Rosemoor welcomes the beloved character Shaun the Sheep for a series of fun and educational events. Perfect for families, the garden will host activities such as fun farm games, family theatre shows by Hot Rock Productions, and model-making workshops. Children can also enjoy Woodland Wednesdays or join a Summer Stomp through the beautiful garden. Don’t forget to hunt for the three decorated Shaun sculptures hidden in the garden and grab a selfie with Shaun himself!

Clovelly maritime festival

Clovelly Maritime Festival

On 21st July, the picturesque village of Clovelly hosts the Maritime Festival in aid of the Mission for Seafarers. This event promises a day filled with excitement for all ages. Watch the thrilling Clovelly Cup yacht race across the bay, enjoy live music and street entertainment, and participate in various workshops. The festival also features classic Punch & Judy shows, face painting, and numerous stalls offering unique crafts and food.

Woolsery Agricultural Show

Join the fun on 29th July at the Woolsery Agricultural Show, a traditional event showcasing the best of local agriculture. This family-friendly day includes crafts, cattle and sheep displays, and horse and pony competitions. Wander through the trade stalls, which offer locally made crafts and food, enjoy fairground rides, and let the kids bounce around on the bouncy castle.

Clovelly

Clovelly Gig Regatta

On 31st August, head back to Clovelly for the Gig Regatta, where Devon’s finest teams compete in an exhilarating day of rowing races. This event celebrates the region’s maritime heritage with intense but fun-filled competitions set against the stunning backdrop of Clovelly’s scenic coastline.

Quince Honey Farm

For a day of sweet adventure, visit Quince Honey Farm this summer. Open daily with a range of activities starting at 10am, the farm offers honey tasting, candle rolling, and live beekeeping demonstrations.
