Be Barnstaple Leisure Club savvy

All things Leisure Club related post-July 19th.

Following the Government’s announcement, we’re pumped to announce your spontaneity when it comes to your fitness is BACK!

We’ve experienced the full circle together, from national lockdowns and our Leisure Club being shut to reopening with restrictions and referring to it as the ‘new normal’ until now. It’s time to revert back to a little normality here at The Barnstaple Leisure Club.

Here’s everything you need to know for your visit post-July 19th.

Hooray - at long last we’re able to say farewell to our booking system giving you flexibility and spontaneity. You’ll no longer be required to book on the day or be limited to one-hour timeslots, meaning your sweaty fitness sessions can continue past the 60-minute mark and your swimming escapades can involve plenty more lengths.

Come and go as you please, just note we’ll continue to operate maximum capacities in the pool like before, so once our pools are full we’ll operate a waiting list.

You read it here first, we’re bringing back our dearly missed facilities. You can now experience the full Leisure Club experience during your visit.

We never thought we’d be so excited to announce the use of our changing rooms, but the excitement is apparent. You are now able to use our changing rooms before and after your fitness suite and swimming sessions, meaning you can take advantage of heated seats and monsoon showers, lockers and our his and her sauna's. Why not also plan a visit to our relaxation suite for some much needed ‘you’ time?

Yes, you guessed it… Our Aqua Bar is back and ready to satisfy those pre and post fitness suite and pool session food cravings. Our stylish bar is ready and waiting to serve your favourite poolside meals, snacks and drinks throughout your visit, with snacks and drinks available all day and meals during selected hours.

The outdoor pool area charge will once again be applicable, as well as seasonal charges for July and August. Swimming sessions in our outdoor pool, with the use of our outdoor space will be charged more than sessions in our indoor pool. This allows swimmers and non-swimmers to take advantage of sun loungers, the summer breeze and glorious sunshine.

Please note, non-swimmers will have to pay a fee for use of the outdoor space.

After the Government’s announcement face-coverings will no longer be mandatory when entering and exiting The Leisure Club. When you visit us at The Leisure Club the choice is yours as to whether you wear a mask during your visit. We politely ask for members to continue to be conscious of other members, allowing distance when appropriate.

Although changes are happening please be rest assured our enhanced health and safety measures will be kept in place for the duration. Sanitising stations will still be present around The Leisure Club, please continue to use these throughout your visit. When using the fitness suite please continue to wipe down equipment before and after use.

If you have any questions, please give us a call on 01271 341602. We look forward to seeing you at The Leisure Club and supporting you on your fitness journey.
