As a guest staying at The Barnstaple Hotel, your safety is our utmost priority. Please familiarise yourself with the health and safety procedures we have in place throughout your stay.
In order to make sure our guests have a safe & hygienic water supply, the hot water is normally heated to 50◦c. Please be aware of the risk of scalding when using hot water.
If you discover a fire: Immediately operate the nearest fire alarm call point.
Leave the building via the nearest escape route and report to the person in charge at the assembly point in the car park. Do not stop to collect personal belongings and do not re-enter the building until you are told that is safe to do so.
For safety reasons, we test our alarm systems weekly. We’re sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause.
In the interests of other guests, smoking or vaping in rooms is not permitted, this includes on balconies. Your room is fitted and monitored with a highly sensitive detection system and smoking or vaping could activate the fire alarm, which may lead to the evacuation of the hotel. There are designated smoking areas outside of the hotel.
