The world ofSeaweed

Clovelly Seaweed Festival is held to promote seaweed for its immense health and nutritional benefits. In a multitude of colours, textures, shapes and sizes, it is tasty, full of minerals, fibre without calories and is the best salt substitute.

Along the Quay there will have a surprising variety of dishes and stalls selling a range of seaweed products. This event combines Craft activities and workshops with Washhouse Studios and Sciencedipity (make your own seaweed slime) with an informative aspect to learn all about the benefits and uses of seaweed.

Adam Reeve, who forages local seaweed, will do a seaweed gel demonstration and foraging talk. There will be a cooking demonstration by Ellie and John from Ebbtides.
Plus live music and street entertainment throughout the day.

You will be amazed at the world of seaweed.  Bring your own and ask the experts what is the best use for your particular selection.
